SAP Functional Lead -MM

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP MM (Materials Management) Consultant with strong expertise in end-to-end SAP MM processes, integration, and implementation. The ideal candidate should have solid functional knowledge, hands-on configuration experience, and proven capability in handling large-scale SAP projects, upgrades, or support engagements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and deliver SAP MM implementations, rollouts, and support projects.

Work on requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.

Manage procure-to-pay (P2P) processes, including purchasing, inventory management, vendor management, and invoice verification.

Perform SAP MM configuration (purchase requisition, purchase orders, release strategies, outline agreements, pricing procedures, inventory management, account determination, etc.).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (FI, SD, WM, PP, etc.) for system integration.

Support cut-over activities, data migration, and UAT.

Provide knowledge transfer (KT) and training to business users and junior consultants.

Work closely with business stakeholders to analyze pain points and propose improvements.

Handle incident, change management, and enhancements in SAP MM module.

Prepare functional specifications for custom developments (RICEFW).

Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 8+ years of SAP MM functional experience with at least 2-3 full cycle implementations and multiple support projects.

Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, material valuation, account determination, subcontracting, consignment, and third-party processes.

Experience with integration of MM with FI/CO, SD, PP, and WM modules.

Hands-on experience in S/4HANA environment is highly preferred.

Strong knowledge in MM master data, pricing procedures, release strategies, and batch management.

Excellent skills in functional documentation, testing, and end-user training.

Good knowledge of SAP best practices and ability to provide process improvements.

Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

Exposure to Ariba, SRM, or other procurement tools.

Experience in SAP S/4HANA migration or greenfield implementation.

SAP MM certification.
