  1. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Within the IT Flat Europe organization, the Digital & IT Finance and Procurement perimeter is responsible for the IT Strategy of the Finance and Procurement functions, including efficiency, process and system exploitation and optimization.


The SAP FICO Functional analyst will join an IT department focused on the implementation of SAP based solutions for financial accounting and controlling. You will act as subject matter expert of the SAP FI/CO processes having an excellent understanding of the accounting business rules.

The SAP FICO functional analyst acts as a liaison between business users and the IT team, translating business needs into detailed functional specifications for software and IT systems. They are responsible for defining how a system should work to meet business goals, which includes gathering requirements, designing user stories, assisting with testing, and ensuring the final product aligns with business needs. This role often requires strong communication, business knowledge, and analytical skills.

  1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Process Analysis and Optimization

Contribute to the analysis of the current FICO processes from different levels of stakeholders (accountants, tax directors, financial controllers, internal/external auditors, etc.).

Understand the financial and accounting processes of the AM buyer/reseller organization to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

Strive to 'keep the core clean' by proposing business solutions in line with standard SAP FICO software.

System Configuration, Customization, and Testing

Guide SAP Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) developers to configure and customize the enterprise resource planning system to meet specific needs.

Define and execute test plans in cooperation with the business owners to ensure system functionality aligns with business requirements.

Training, Documentation, and Collaboration

Provide key-user training and documentation.

Collaborate with other team members to design and deploy effective IT solutions for accounting and controlling.

Special Projects and Support

Assist with special projects related to FI/CO as necessary.
