Job Title: FICO Consultant - Business Partner

Function: IT

Reports to: SAP Lead

Location: HO- Noida

Role Purpose: To implement, support, and optimize SAP FICO (Finance & Controlling) processes, ensuring alignment with the organizations business needs in both EPC projects and manufacturing operations. The consultant will collaborate with Finance, Project, and Operations teams to drive process efficiency, compliance, and timely project cost control.

Job Responsibilities:

SAP FICO Implementation & Support

• Configure and maintain SAP FICO modules (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, CO-CCA, CO-PCA, Internal Orders, COPA).
• Integrate finance processes with SAP PS (Project Systems), MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales & Distribution), and PP (Production Planning).
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring smooth financial consolidation.
• Develop functional specifications for RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).

Business Process Management

• Work closely with EPC project teams to manage WBS structures, cost budgeting, and cost-to-completion reporting.
• Align manufacturing cost centers with production processes to ensure accurate cost allocation and variance analysis.
• Streamline vendor billing, customer invoicing, retention money, milestone billing, and taxation processes.
• Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards (Ind AS), GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
• Support month end activities

Enhancements, Upgrades, and Rollouts

• Participate in S/4HANA migration or enhancement projects as needed.
• Support new business rollouts, mergers, or plant expansions by extending FICO configurations.
• Implement process improvements using SAP Fiori apps or analytics tools.
• Integration with third-party applications like travel portals, data lakes, analytics platform

User Training & Documentation

• Provide training to end users on finance and cost control processes.
• Develop SOPs, training guides, and knowledge transfer documents.
• Adherence to change control procedures of SAP improvements.

Audit, Controls & Compliance

• Ensure internal controls and SOX/ICFR compliance within SAP.
• Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors for system-driven financial controls.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Timely closure of books and financial reporting.
• Accuracy of cost tracking and project profitability reports.
• Reduction in manual processes and audit observations.
• Successful delivery of SAP change requests within budget and timelines.
• User satisfaction with system availability and process support.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Qualification: CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) preferred, or B.Com (SAP FICO certification preferred).
• 8+ years experience as SAP FICO consultant in EPC industry with 1 full-cycle SAP S4HANA implementations.
• Strong knowledge of SAP FICO configuration, project-based accounting and integration with SAP PS/MM/SD/PP modules. Understanding of Indian taxation (GST, TDS, Withholding Tax) and global reporting standards.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize financial processes.
• Experience with financial consolidation processes, dashboard development (e.g., SAP Analytics Cloud or Power BI), and data lakes (e.g., Microsoft Fabric) is a plus for advanced reporting and insights.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
