Job Description

Overview

  • SAP FICO Consultant with 3+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Finance and Controlling.
  • The consultant will be responsible for understanding the already configured SAP FICO processes, supporting business users, handling cost-related functional inquiries, delivering user training, and escalating complex issues when necessary.
  • The role requires solid analytical skills and strong communication with finance stakeholders.
  • The candidate will participate in a global rollout project, and strong communication skills in English are a MUST.


Key Responsibilities


System Understanding & Support

  • Review and understand the existing SAP FI configuration (GL, AP, AR, AA, etc.) and SAP CO configuration, including Cost Centers, Internal Orders, Profit Centers, WBS, Result Analysis & Revenue Recognition.
  • Handle daily FICO-related user inquiries and provide functional support.
  • Troubleshoot configuration or data-related issues and recommend solutions.


Client Interaction

  • Act as the first point of contact for business users regarding FICO processes.
  • Gather, clarify, and document user-reported issues and enhancement requests.
  • Communicate solutions, impacts, and follow-ups clearly to stakeholders.


User Training

  • Prepare and conduct SAP FICO training sessions for end users.
  • Create user guides, training materials, and process documentation.
  • Ensure users understand FICO processes such as budgeting, period-end activities, and reporting.


Issue Management & Escalation

  • Perform initial root cause analysis for FICO functional issues.
  • Escalate complex, cross-module, or system-level problems to senior consultants or technical teams.
  • Monitor escalated issues and keep users informed of progress and resolution timelines.


Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain system documentation, support logs, and configuration notes.
  • Prepare periodic support reports summarizing common issues, fixes, and improvements.
  • Document change requests, testing results, and process improvements.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of SAP FICO functional experience.
  • Strong knowledge of FI submodules: GL, AP, AR, preferrably AA.
  • Hands-on experience in major CO components:
  • Cost Center Accounting (CCA)
  • Internal Orders
  • Profit Center Accounting (PCA)
  • Result Analysis & Revenue Recognition
  • Experience providing end-user support and training.
  • Ability to analyze configuration, perform root-cause analysis, and propose solutions.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in production support or AMS environments.
  • Understanding of integration with FI, MM, SD, and PP.
  • Exposure to S/4HANA Controlling (Universal Journal, Margin Analysis).

  • Ability to manage priorities and multitask effectively.
