Job Description

Role: SAP FICO Consultant

Experience: 5 -7 Yrs.

Job location: Baner, Pune.


Qualifications

Bachelors in Finance/Accounting/IT (or equivalent).

SAP FICO certification (preferred); S/4HANA Finance certification (advantage).


Tools & Technology -

Excel for reconciliations, Power BI exposure is a plus Core Skills:

1. Enterprise structure configuration

2. AR, AP and GL configuration

3. Tax configuration

4. Should have experience of integration with SD and MM modules

5. Driving design sessions


Key responsibilities:

1. Will be working as SAP FI SME in data transformation

2. Analyze multiple SAP systems and document both the FI process and the data to allow proper data modelling

3. Create functional design for reporting data model which will be built in Azure Data Lake

4. Support implementation of the data model and guide validation of all data objects

5. Perform Integration testing of solution

6. Support Defect resolution, UAT and user training

7. Governance & Documentation

Functional specs, configuration docs, test evidence, and training materials.

Adherence to project controls (change requests, transport management, audit trail).

8. Support & Hypercare

Production readiness checks, issue resolution, KT to support, stabilization plans.

9. Data Migration & Cutover

Legacy mapping, trial balance migration, open items (AP/AR), asset master & values.

Reconciliations across FI/CO/MM/SD; cutover runbooks and defect resolution.

10. Testing & Quality

Write and execute unit, SIT, and UAT test scripts; defect triage; integration cycles.

Period-end close scenario validation and regression testing.

11. Significant focus on MM/SD-FI integration, tax compliance, and VAT reporting.

12. Strong data migration and cutover discipline with cross-functional reconciliations.


Soft Skills & Ways of Working

Strong stakeholder management (Finance controllers, tax, treasury, supply chain).

Clear documentation and communication (workshops, playback sessions).

Proactive risk/issue management; comfortable with fast-paced delivery.

Collaborative with Hybrid model; supports SAP Project Manager cadence.


Deliverables (Project-Oriented)

Design: Process flows, config rationale, integration landscape.

Build: Configuration workbook, transport list, FS for RICEFW (IDs, enhancements).

Test: Test scripts, defect logs, SIT/UAT summary reports.

Data: Migration mapping, load files, reconciliation sign-offs (FI/CO/MM/SD).

Cutover: Runbook, readiness checklist, hypercare plan.

Training: End-user guides, KT sessions, role-based procedures.
