SAP FICo Analyst

Key Responsibilities

1. Application Management & Support

Provide functional support for SAP Finance modules (SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA).

Manage and resolve incidents, service requests, and enhancements according to ITIL processes.

Monitor integrations and coordinate with vendors when issues arise.

Ensure stable daily operations for financial closing, payment runs, invoicing, and reporting.

2. SAP Configuration & Development Coordination

Perform hands-on configuration in SAP FI/CO as needed (e.g., tax, asset accounting, accounts payable/receivable, controlling).

Participate in solution design, testing, and documenting functional specifications for development teams.

Collaborate with SAP Public Cloud roadmap initiatives and configuration guidelines.

3. Requirements Gathering & Process Analysis

Partner with Finance stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.

Analyse existing processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements or innovations.

Support fit-gap analysis for S/4HANA Public Cloud.

4. Project Participation

Actively contribute to projects related to:

SAP enhancements

ERP rollouts

Public Cloud migration

Finance process harmonisation

Support data migration, testing cycles, and cut-over planning.

5. Documentation & Compliance

Ensure documentation follows internal and audit standards.

Adhere to finance, data privacy, and integration security best practices.

Support internal and external audits.

Qualifications & Experience

Must-Haves

Bachelors degree in IT, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience.

Min. 3 years experience in SAP Finance application support or configuration.

Strong understanding of financial processes:

Accounts payable/receivable

General ledger

Asset accounting

Controlling

Period-end closing

Hands-on experience with SAP FI/CO configuration in ECC and/or S/4HANA.

Understanding of ERP integrations and data flows (IDoc, API, middleware).

Ability to analyse incidents, propose solutions, and communicate clearly with finance users.

Excellent English communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves

Knowledge of:

SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud

SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)

SAP Integration Suite

SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Datasphere

Experience with ITIL, Jira, ServiceNow, or similar incident tools.

Ability to work in international virtual teams.

Experience with vendor coordination.
