SAP FI-TAX ANALYST IT

Job Description:

The person hired for the position of Record to Report Analyst – SAP FI-TAX will be responsible for the implementation and support of key Finance Tax processes in 3M’s SAP ERP environment.  The successful candidate will possess a strong combination of analytical and technical skills, and will design best practice SAP solutions in close collaboration with business counterparts. The position will include working across multiple areas and solutions to support both production and new releases of SAP ERP within 3M. In addition to SAP, the position will support additional applications in the ERP Ecosystem, including but not limited to bolt-on tax engine and connection tools.

The person hired for this position must also understand the integration of SAP FI-TAX with other module/process areas, including Materials Management (MM) and Sales & Distribution (SD).

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Assist in implementing/deploying SAP ERP Financials, integration, and testing in assigned areas
• Execute and deliver SAP Solutions to 3M Global Finance/Tax Operations through the leadership of process design and configuration, that meet defined global business objectives and requirements
• Collaborate with business counterparts in the design, development, testing and delivery of SAP standard finance SAP Solutions
• Collaborate with IT colleagues, team members and cross functional teams in application design, development, integration, testing and deployment of SAP Solutions
• Design, create, test & document the configuration of SAP Modules to support global business requirements and performance goals
• Work with 3M business areas and IT colleagues to define the overall application and technical requirements.
• Ensure the products and components work together to meet the objectives and performance goals as defined in the functional, security, integration, performance, quality and operational requirements.
• Identify and help resolve design issues, participates and provides critique for design reviews
• Advocate recommended process design changes within their process community
• Support adherence to business and program objectives and program mission
• Trouble shooting of escalated production issues
