Job Title: R2R FI Lead (Record to Report Financial Accounting)

Location: Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune (India) | Hybrid

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced R2R FI Lead to drive the design, implementation, and support of Record-to-Report processes within SAP Financial Accounting. The role requires strong functional expertise in SAP FI, leadership capability, and hands-on experience with India GST implementations. Exposure to SAP S/4HANA and cross-functional collaboration is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R) process design, implementation, and support within SAP FI.
• Manage and oversee core SAP FI processes including:
• General Ledger (GL)
• Bank Accounting
• Cash Management
• Fixed Assets
• Collaborate closely with SAP technical and development teams to deliver integrated solutions using:
• SAP FI (Financial Accounting)
• SAP FSCM (Financial Supply Chain Management)
• SAP S/4HANA (preferred)
• Own and manage month-end and year-end close activities , ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.
• Drive process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives across R2R workflows.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, auditors, and external partners for system enhancements, upgrades, testing, and deployments.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, statutory requirements, audit standards, and regulatory frameworks.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior consultants and analysts.
• Lead and support India GST implementations and related statutory reporting (mandatory requirement).

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems , or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in SAP FI and R2R processes.
• At least 2+ years of experience in a Lead or SME role .
• Strong expertise in:
• Financial accounting and reporting
• Bank reconciliations
• Cash flow and closing processes
• Working knowledge of SAP technical concepts and ability to effectively collaborate with developers is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
