Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled SAP PS Consultant to support OPEX-driven New Product Introduction (NPI) projects in the semiconductor industry. The role involves managing SAP PS processes, providing L1 support, enabling Gantt-based project tracking, and training end-users to ensure efficient execution of engineering and operational initiatives.

Responsibilities

SAP PS Process Support for OPEX/NPI Projects

Project Structuring

• Creation of Project Definitions, WBS Elements, and Networks tailored to NPI phases.
• Use of standard templates for recurring project types.

Planning & Budgeting

• Support for cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Integration with Controlling (CO) for budget control and variance analysis.
• Costing sheet preparation

Gantt Chart & Timeline Management

• Enable Gantt chart visualization for project timelines.
• Support for milestone planning, task dependencies, and critical path analysis.

Execution & Monitoring

• Tracking of actual costs, resource usage, and material consumption.
• Monitoring of project progress against planned milestones.

Reporting & Analytics

• Generation of project status reports, cost summaries, and variance reports.
• Support for custom dashboards for engineering and finance teams.

Integration Support

• Seamless integration with: SAP MM for procurement SAP PP for production planning SAP FI/CO for financial tracking PLM/ECM tools for engineering change management

Detailed NPI Process to be supported The SAP PS Consultant will support the following New Product Introduction (NPI) stages:

1. Concept & Feasibility
2. Project setup in SAP PS with WBS elements for feasibility studies.
3. Budget allocation and tracking for early-stage R&D activities.
4. Design & Development
5. WBS elements for design iterations, tape-out, and engineering builds.
6. Integration with SAP MM for material procurement and prototype tracking.
7. FAB & Assembly
8. Cost tracking for wafer fabrication and packaging processes.
9. Resource planning and milestone tracking using Gantt charts.
10. Testing & Qualification
11. WBS elements for reliability testing, electrical characterization, and qualification.
12. Support for test material assignment and cost roll-up.
13. Ramp-Up & Release
14. Final cost analysis and project closure.
15. Settlement of costs to cost centers or internal orders.

L1 Support & Issue Resolution

• Provide Level 1 support for SAP PS-related issues including: Authorization errors Transaction failures Data inconsistencies Navigation and usage queries
• Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams with proper documentation.

End-User Training & Enablement

• Conduct training sessions for engineering, supply chain, and finance teams on: SAP PS navigation and usage Project creation and tracking Cost monitoring and reporting
• Develop and maintain training materials, FAQs, and user guides.

Essential Attributes

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP PS and its integration with MM, PP, FI/CO.
• Familiarity with semiconductor NPI lifecycle and OPEX project structures.
• Experience with Gantt chart tools within SAP or external project management platforms.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to train and support cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, IT, or related field.
• SAP PS certification is preferred.

Desired Experience Level

• 2 to 5 years in SAP PS
• Experience in manufacturing, high-tech product development, automotive, Electronics or semiconductor manufacturing.
• Exposure to PLM systems, ECM, and project reporting tools.
