Role Overview

The SAP CAR ConsultantLead will be responsible for supporting and optimizing SAP Customer Activity Repository solution components such as POS Inbound Processing Unified Demand Forecast UDF Inventory Visibility and Promotion Management for Retail PMR The role demands strong functional andor technical expertise in SAP Retail processes with hands on experience in SAP CAR integration performance tuning and analytics enablement

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design Implementation

Leadparticipate in SAP CAR implementations including requirement gathering fitgap analysis solution design configuration and testing

Configure and support CAR components including

oPOS DTA POS Inbound Processing

oSAP CAR OAA Omnichannel Article Availability Sourcing

oUDF Unified Demand Forecast

oPMR Promotion Management for Retail

oInventory Visibility IV

Design and optimize data models and integration flows between SAP CAR SAP ECCS4HANA and external POSOMS systems

Integration Technical Expertise

Work with SLT SDI BODS or SAP PIPO for inboundoutbound interfaces

Collaborate with SAP Basis Security and Development teams for system readiness performance tuning job monitoring and data integrity

Provide guidance on realtime and batch integration scenarios

Business Retail Process Expertise

Deep understanding of Retail master data sales audit processes promotions pricing inventory and omnichannel scenarios

Engage with business SMEs to define KPIs reporting needs and downstream analytics requirements eg SAP BWDS

Support Operations

Provide L2L3 support for CAR componentsissue diagnosis debugging ABAP desirable RCA and fixes

Ensure data quality monitor POS inbound queues handle job failures and perform reconciliation

Project Leadership for Lead role

Drive endtoend delivery for SAP CAR track

Mentor team members and ensure adherence to best practices

Prepare project plans estimation and status reporting

Required Skills Experience

Functional MustHaves

Strong handson experience in at least one major SAP CAR module preferably POS DTA or OAA

Good knowledge of SAP Retail processes listing pricing promotions article master

Experience working with largescale retail transaction data

Technical MustHaves

Experience with

oSAP CAR architecture

oHANA modeling SQL scripting

oIntegration tools SLT SDI CPI PIPO

oDebugging ABAP for issue analysis

Familiarity with HANA performance tuning and data provisioning

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problemsolving skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities

Ability to work independently in a distributed global delivery model

Good to Have

Experience in SAP S4HANA Retail environments

Experience with SAP CAR Analytics or SAP Fiori apps

Understanding of cloud platforms AzureAWS for SAP deployments

Retail industry certifications
