Description: We are looking for SAP PLM Consultants who as a Custom Software Engineer, will be responsible for developing custom software solutions, collaborating with various teams to understand and address business requirements, and utilising modern frameworks and agile methodologies. The role involves designing, coding, and enhancing components across systems or applications to deliver scalable and high-performing solutions. Responsibilities include problem-solving, process improvement, and mentoring junior team members.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)
• Collaborate and lead team performance
• Take responsibility for team decisions
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute to key decisions
• Provide solutions to problems within and across teams
• Mentor junior team members
• Continuously evaluate and improve development processes

Skills

• Must-have: Proficiency in SAP Product Lifecycle Management
• Lead blueprinting for Document Management System (DMS)
• Design and configure PLM functionalities (Engineering Change Management, Material Management, Document Info Records, BOM, Product Structures)
• Implement PLM features (Change Record, Document Management in Fiori, Classification, and Characteristics Modelling)
• Integrate with PP, MM, QM, and EWM modules for PLM DMS integration
• Write functional specifications for custom workflow (document approval)
• Oversee development activities and conduct functional unit testing
• Hands-on experience in DMS
• Technical understanding of ABAP, content server, Fiori, CAD integration concepts
• Strong grasp of agile software development methodologies
• Experience with modern programming languages and frameworks
• Ability to analyse and troubleshoot complex software issues
