About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned SAP BTP Technical Lead to drive our digital transformation initiatives. In this role, you will be the bridge between complex business requirements and cloud-native solutions, leveraging the full power of the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) .

As a Lead, you will not only write high-quality code but also architect scalable solutions, mentor a team of developers, and ensure we adhere to "Clean Core" principles using SAP CAPM and SAP UI5 .

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Architecture: Design and architect end-to-end cloud-native applications on SAP BTP using the Cloud Application Programming Model (CAPM) and SAP UI5/Fiori .
• Technical Leadership: Lead a team of developers, conducting code reviews, ensuring best practices (CI/CD, Git strategies), and driving technical excellence.
• Development: Hands-on development of side-by-side extensions for S/4HANA, custom Fiori applications, and microservices.
• Integration: Oversee integration scenarios using SAP Integration Suite (CPI) to connect BTP apps with On-Premise (S/4HANA, ECC) and 3rd party systems.
• Innovation: Stay ahead of the curve by exploring new BTP services (Build Process Automation, AI Core, HANA Cloud) and prototyping POCs.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with functional consultants and business owners to translate functional specs into technical designs.

Mandatory Skills (Must Haves)

• SAP BTP & CAPM: Extensive experience in Node.js or Java based CAPM development. Deep understanding of cds views, services, and event handlers.
• Frontend Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of SAP UI5 , Fiori Elements, JavaScript (ES6+), XML views, and OData V2/V4 integration.
• Database: Strong proficiency in SAP HANA Cloud , HDI containers, SQLScript, and Core Data Services (CDS).
• Tools: Proficiency with SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) , VS Code, and BTP Cockpit administration.
• Security: Experience with XSUAA, BTP destination services, and role-based authentication.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Experience with SAP Build Process Automation (Workflow Management).
• Knowledge of SAP RAP (Restful ABAP Programming) model.
• DevOps experience (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or SAP CTS+).
• Experience in S/4HANA Cloud implementation projects.

Experience & Qualifications

• 7 to 15 years of total IT experience with a strong background in SAP development.
• Minimum 3+ years of dedicated experience in SAP BTP architecture and CAPM.
• Proven experience in a Lead or Architect role (managing at least 3-5 developers).
• Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Certification in SAP BTP or Fiori is a huge plus.
