Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP Development Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of innovative cloud-based solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) . The candidate will lead a team of developers and work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, secure, and high-performance applications leveraging BTP services such as SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model), SAP Fiori/UI5, HANA Cloud, SAP Integration Suite , and SAP Mobile Services .

Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle of applications on SAP BTP, including architecture, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
• Guide and mentor a team of BTP developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Design and implement applications using SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) , SAP UI5/Fiori , and SAP HANA Cloud .
• Collaborate with SAP functional leads, solution architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Integrate BTP applications with S/4HANA , SAP SuccessFactors , SAP Integration Suite , and other enterprise systems using APIs, OData, and Events.
• Ensure compliance with SAP BTP security best practices (authentication, authorization, XSUAA, OAuth, etc.).
• Monitor application performance and implement optimizations.
• Stay current with SAP BTP roadmap and emerging technologies; assess and recommend their adoption.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 6+ years of SAP development experience, with at least 23 years in SAP BTP environment.
• Hands-on experience with:
• SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP)
• SAP UI5/Fiori and SAP Business Application Studio
• SAP HANA Cloud and CDS modeling
• SAP Identity Authentication and Authorization (IAS/XSUAA)
• Node.js/Java for BTP services
• Knowledge of SAP BTP services, including Mobile Services, Workflow, Business Rules, and Destination Services.
• Strong understanding of REST/OData APIs, OAuth2.0, JWT, and integration patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and DevOps methodologies.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP Certified Development Associate SAP BTP or SAP Extension Suite
• Experience with SAP Event Mesh , SAP Build Apps (Low-Code/No-Code) , or SAP Launchpad Service
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies (Scrum, SAFe)
• Exposure to non-SAP integrations (Salesforce, Workday, etc.)
• Experience with legacy-to-cloud transformations
