What Would You Do?

As an SAP BTP Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and

deploying cloud-based applications and integrations on the SAP Business

Technology Platform. You will build custom integrations between SAP S/4HANA

Public Cloud and non-SAP systems, develop extensions using SAP Fiori and CAP,

and ensure seamless operation of cloud-native solutions. Your responsibilities will

encompass end-to-end application development, API-based integration design, error

handling and monitoring, troubleshooting production issues, and creating

comprehensive technical documentation.

What Are We Looking For?

Experience: 5 years in IT or technical development roles, with 3+ years

specializing in SAP BTP technologies and cloud development.

Technical Skills: Hands-on expertise with SAP BTP Integration Suite, SAP

Build Apps, SAP Build Work Zone, SAP Fiori enhancement/development,

CAP, and scripting languages (Groovy, JavaScript).

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering,

or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Soft Skills: Strong Foundations: Logical thinking, structured problem-solving,

and clear technical communication.

Curious by Default: You explore SAP BTP release notes, experiment with new

services in trial environments, and stay ahead of platform updates before you

are asked to.

Self-Directed Learner: You don't wait for training to be scheduled you

identify gaps in your own knowledge and close them proactively through SAP

Learning Hub, community forums, and hands-on practice.

Comfortable with Ambiguity: Cloud platforms and technologies evolve rapidly.

You adapt, experiment, and help your team navigate change rather than resist

it.

Domain Experience: Prior experience integrating SAP with third-party

systems across industries is highly beneficial.

Roles & Responsibilities

Application Development & Deployment Develop and deploy cloud-based

applications on the SAP BTP platform using SAP Cloud Platform tools, SAP Build

Apps, HTML5 Applications, and the Cloud Application Programming (CAP) model.

Integration Design & Development Build custom integrations between SAP

S/4HANA Public Cloud and non-SAP systems using SAP BTP Integration Suite,

OData, REST, SOAP, and APIs. Work with BAPIs, XML, and JSON for seamless

data exchange.

SAP Fiori & UI Development Enhance and develop SAP Fiori applications, build

responsive user interfaces, and extend standard SAP applications to meet business

requirements using SAP Business Application Studio (BAS).

Error Handling & Monitoring Design robust error handling mechanisms including

retry logic, exception subprocesses, and monitoring dashboards to ensure reliability

and operational continuity.

Troubleshooting & Support Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to

application development, deployment, and operation. Provide post-go-live support

and continuous improvement.

Technical Documentation Document technical specifications, integration designs,

and user guides to support knowledge transfer, maintenance, and future

enhancements.

ABAP & Backend Development Leverage ABAP development skills including CDS

views, OData services, enhancements, and BAdIs to build and extend backend logic

as needed.

Good to Have

Knowledge of SAP Business Application Studio (BAS), Single Sign-On (SSO),

and OAuth 2.0 authentication.

Experience with SAP Build Work Zone for building centralized launchpads

and site experiences.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices within SAP BTP.
