What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:

• Incident Management:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SAP BTP-related incidents and issues.
  •  Analyse and identify root causes of problems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Document incident resolution and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop and maintain incident management processes and procedures.

• System Configuration and Customisation:
  • Configure and customise SAP BTP applications to meet business requirements.
  • Design and implement custom solutions using SAP BTP tools.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for configurations and customisations.
  • Ensure compliance with SAP best practices and standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solutions.
• User Training and Support:
  • Develop and deliver training materials for end-users.
  • Provide ongoing support and assistance to users.
  • Create user guides, tutorials, and knowledge base articles.
  • Monitor user adoption and identify areas for improvement.
• Data Management:
  • Design and implement data integration and migration strategies.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Collaborate with data stakeholders to resolve data-related issues.
  • Develop data analytics and reporting solutions.
• System Integration and Testing:
  • Design and implement integrations with external systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, third-party APIs).
  • Develop and execute testing strategies (unit, integration, regression).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and optimise performance.
• Reports and Analytics:
  • Design and develop reports using SAP BTP reporting tools (e.g., SAP Analytics Cloud).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify reporting requirements.
  • Ensure report security, accessibility, and compliance.
• System Performance Optimisation:
  • Identifying and resolving performance issues within the SAP BTP module. Recommending improvements to enhance system performance and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Collaboration with Other Teams:
  • Working closely with other SAP functional teams, to resolve cross-functional issues. Collaborating with the technical team / development team for custom developments if required.
• Compliance and Best Practices:
  • Ensure adherence to SAP BTP security guidelines and compliance standards.
  • Implement SAP BTP best practices for configuration, customisation, and development.
  • Stay up to date with SAP BTP regulatory requirements and updates.
• Knowledge sharing, mentorship and development:
  • Offering formal or informal training to internal Associate Consultants. This can include presenting at chapter sessions, SAP system demos, workshops, or one-on-one mentoring for less experienced colleagues.
  • Stay current with SAP BTP innovations and roadmap.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree / Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
• SAP BTP Developer certification or related development certification preferred

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in SAP BTP development, (SAP Cloud Platform Integration, SAP HANA, SAP Fiori etc.)
• Strong knowledge of SAP BTP technologies (SAP Cloud SDK, SAP HANA XS, etc.)
• Proficiency in programming languages (Java, JavaScript, etc.)
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Mentoring junior developers
