Job Description

Role Purpose

The candidate must have +5 years of BI Experience ideally in the Media industry. Excellent SAP BW and SAP BusinessObjects administration, developer and programming skills, accompanied with a solid understanding of SAP Applications and Modules such as FI-CO, SD and MM, to be able to understand the business requirements and provide optimal solutions.  

They must be a dynamic and proactive individual with the ability to work alone or within a team, including business and 3rd Party representatives.

Core Responsibilities:

• Assist with the management of both Project and Support BI teams, coordinating workload and resources.
• Contribute to the Global BI vision by working closely with Technical Analysts and Business Analysts to understand business requirements and integrate them into the existing solution.
• Ensure UMG’s BI Strategy aligns with SAP’s strategy, actively investigating new SAP Products and Technologies (BOBJ 4.3, Analysis for Office, HANA, Sybase IQ, Lumira, etc.).
• Involved in the design, delivery, and maintenance of both the technical and functional architecture.
• Contribute to architecture and capacity planning activities.
• Define standards, processes, and governance in support of the global reporting vision.
• Produce functional and technical specifications for solution development and implementation.
• Create Testing Scripts and Training Materials for new functionality and enhancements.
• Provide level 3 support to the Support Team (occasionally level 2).

Person Specification:

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of BI experience, ideally in the Media industry.
• Excellent SAP BW and SAP BusinessObjects administration, development, and programming skills.
• Solid understanding of SAP Applications and Modules such as FI-CO, SD, and MM.

Skills:

• Advanced knowledge and experience in:
  • SAP BW & BusinessObjects Architecture, Administration, Development, Support, and Monitoring.
  • Building/managing a data warehouse in an international/multi-country context.
  • CMC Configuration, BOBJ/BW Security, SSO Authentication, SSL & Promotion Management.
  • Config/Testing experience of one or more end-to-end upgrades of SAP Business Objects.
  • Leading the design, development, and maintenance of data warehouses.
  • BI reporting on SAP Modules (FI-GL, CO-PA, SD, MM, etc.).
  • HANA, BPC, SLT, SyBase IQ, ABAP OO, VBA, SQL, HTML5, CSS, UI5, Tomcat Web Server Configuration.
  • Modern Data warehousing Design & Concepts (StarSchema, LSA++, etc.).
  • Javascript/UI5/Fiori Developments.
  • AMPD, CDS, and Open ODS Developments.
  • SAP BWonHANA 7.5sps22.
  • Google Big Query.
  • Bash scripting.
  • Web Services, APIs, OData.

Education:

• University degree level (or equivalent qualification).

Additional Skills:

• Exposure to IT processes, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience in managing and supporting BW and other SAP technologies.
• Good organizational and time management skills.

Nice to Have:

• Skills and experience in SAC, B/4 HANA, SAP DataSphere, and other Enterprise-level Reporting Solutions.
• SAP BPConHANA 10.1 Standard and/or Embedded.
