Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP BASIS Architect to design, architect, and support end-to-end SAP landscapes across S/4HANA On-Premise and Cloud (RISE / GROW) environments.

The role demands strong ownership of landscape architecture, system setup, upgrades, migrations, performance, security, and availability, with the ability to work closely with functional, development, infrastructure, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and govern SAP landscapes for S/4HANA (On-Prem, Private Cloud, Public Cloud) including DEV, QAS, PRE-PROD, PROD systems

Design scalable, secure, and highly available SAP system architectures aligned with business and IT strategy

Define transport landscape strategy, system refresh strategy, and dual-track landscape setups

Installation, configuration, and administration of SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BW, Solution Manager

Kernel upgrades, Support Pack upgrades, Add-on installations, and Unicode conversions

HANA database administration (tenant management, backup/restore, performance tuning)

Architect SAP systems on hyperscalers (AWS / Azure / GCP) and SAP managed cloud (RISE)

Define and manage HA/DR architectures (HANA System Replication, Pacemaker, DR drills)

Coordinate with cloud, network, and OS teams for sizing, capacity planning, and cost optimization

Design and govern SAP security architecture in collaboration with GRC and Security teams

User administration, role transport strategy, and system hardening

Ensure compliance with audit, SOX, and regulatory requirements

Monitor and optimize system performance, memory, CPU, and HANA workloads

Define proactive monitoring, alerting, and incident response mechanisms

Own system availability, downtime planning, and root-cause analysis

Prior experience as BASIS Lead / Landscape Architect on large S/4HANA programs

Act as BASIS Solution Architect for programs and transformations

Provide architecture guidance during design, build, UAT, and Go-Live phases

Work closely with Functional, ABAP, Integration, Infrastructure, and Security teams

Create and maintain architecture diagrams, SOPs, and technical documentation

Technical Skills Required
