JOB DESCRIPTION

The SAP Basis Administrator responsibilities include configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment on an ongoing basis as well as scheduling and executing the SAP transport system. The SAP Basis Administrator collaborates to resolve SAP transport and source code problems. The SAP Basis Administrator is responsible for the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP systems. Additional areas include the evaluation and design of interfaces between SAP and external systems, maintenance of the SAP Data Dictionary and database objects, and manage the migration of SAP database and application configuration into production as well as analyze, develop, and maintain data architectures and process models within SAP.

Implement and maintain the multiple SAP instances that comprise the SAP environment (development, test, training and production). Introduce technical changes into the environment using a structured approach that minimizes risk and achieves high reliability, availability and performance of each SAP instance.

In additional the role requires a basic understanding of security, privacy issues, risks, exposures and vulnerabilities related to relational databases. Able to analyze business requirements and translating or incorporating them when applicable into CNs security controls/policy. Stays informed about the latest developments in Microsoft SQL family of products and tools. Including new products and services, through on-line news services, technical magazines, professional associations, industry conferences, training seminars, and other information sources. The SQL Database Administrator will work with Team Lead and Manager to develop appropriate KPIs, to reflect the performance of the overall operations.

SAP BASIS ADMINISTRATOR SPECIALIST REQUIREMENTS

DEC or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or equivalent experience

7+ years experience in Basis operation support and project delivery

Operational Basis administration experience in below areas:

Oracle DBMS/Unix/Linux

ECC, BWBPC, SRM, MDM, Portal, Mobile, NWDI

Business Objects and Content Server

Monitoring tool, SLD and Gateway administration

Mandatory support experience in below:

Support Packs & Kernel Upgrade

SAP / Oracle / OS memory management,

System monitoring, tuning & Workload management

System Refresh/Copy

Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

Aptitude for team work and for collaboration with other departments

Good planning and organizational Skills

Understanding of change management, SDLC and SOX concepts in a large corporation

Recommended SAP Certifications (like Basis, OS/DB Migration)

Working knowledge of SAP HANA
