About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP on HANA Consultant / Lead to drive end-to-end ABAP development and HANA-based enhancements for enterprise SAP systems. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing ABAP programs and applications on HANA, collaborating with functional teams, and ensuring high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead ABAP development on SAP HANA, including custom programs, reports, forms, enhancements, and interfaces.
• Design, develop, and optimize Core Data Services (CDS) Views, AMDP, and HANA-optimized code.
• Work on performance tuning, code optimization, and HANA-specific techniques.
• Collaborate with functional consultants (SD, MM, FICO, etc.) to understand business requirements and translate them into ABAP solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior ABAP developers.
• Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC): requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Develop custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF objects) on SAP HANA.
• Support system upgrades, migrations, and post-go-live production support.
• Work in Agile / Scrum environment with strong collaboration and documentation practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience, including hands-on work on SAP HANA.
• Strong experience in ABAP on HANA, Core Data Services (CDS), AMDP, HANA views, and SQL Script.
• Expertise in RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization for HANA-based applications.
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori, OData services, and UI5 development is a plus.
• Good knowledge of SAP modules integration (SD, MM, FICO, etc.).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Exposure to Agile / Scrum delivery environment.
• SAP ABAP/HANA Certification is a plus.
