Job Title: SAP ABAP on HANA Lead

Experience: 8+ years (with 23 years in Lead role)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP on HANA Lead who will be responsible for driving development activities, leading a team of ABAP developers, designing scalable solutions, and ensuring successful delivery across SAP S/4HANA projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of SAP ABAP and SAP HANA solutions.

Guide and mentor a team of ABAP developers; ensure coding best practices and quality standards.

Work closely with functional teams to understand business requirements and convert them into technical specifications.

Develop and optimize ABAP objects including Reports, Enhancements (BADI, User Exits), BAPIs, OData services, CDS Views, AMDPs, and RAP-based developments.

Perform performance optimization for ABAP on HANA and ensure efficient HANA-native development.

Manage code reviews, technical documentation, and adherence to SAP development guidelines.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across SAP modules.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams for integration, testing, and deployment activities.

Ensure smooth delivery of development objects for SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, or rollouts.

Required Skills:

Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP and ABAP on HANA.

Expertise in CDS Views, AMDP, OData services, and HANA SQL scripting.

Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture and Fiori integration concepts.

Experience with RAP (Restful ABAP Programming Model) is an added advantage.

Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.

Good understanding of WRICEF objects.

Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have:

Experience with SAP Modules (MM, SD, FI, PP, HR, etc.).

Exposure to Agile methodology.

Certification in SAP ABAP or SAP S/4HANA.

Education:

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
