Purpose:
In a context with multiple Salesforce instances and increasing demands around digitalization of services in the Salesforce ecosystem, we are seeking a Salesforce Release Engineer to manage and optimize the deployment and release processes for our Salesforce environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in Salesforce DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and release management best practices. You will work closely with developers, administrators, and stakeholders to ensure seamless and efficient releases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solid understanding and experience with Git, ensuring effective version control and collaboration.
- Hands-on experience in scripting languages/writing config files like Groovy, Shell, Bash, Python and YAML is must
- Understand Branching and Sandbox Strategies along with SDLC (Software Deployment Life Cycle), SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle)
- Responsible for implementing scalable solutions including CI/CD Pipelines: Building and managing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline the release process for Salesforce Platforms. These pipelines ensure that changes are automatically tested and deployed.
- Responsible for making all Salesforce updates move seamlessly from development through staging to production
- Hands-on experience on Salesforce Admin and SFDX
- Plan Release Calendar. Coordinate across delivery teams to prioritize and optimize the business value being delivered.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and manage dependencies in deployments and releases and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality.
- Report status updates and risks related to Salesforce schedules, providing mitigation strategies to ensure the timely delivery of projects.
- Monitor and measure processes to maintain efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Compliance and Security: Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, security best practices, and company policies regarding data protection, access control, and auditing.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience on Salesforce platform with 1+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps
- Experience in at least 2 full life-cycle DevOps projects
- Proficiency in using deployment tools and hands-on experience in at least 1 full life-cycle project.
- Good Experience with Salesforce platform production deployments in an Agile environment
- Experience with deployment tools like Jenkins, GitHub, BitBucket, VScode
- Experience in Salesforce DX
- Working experience on Managed packages and unmanaged packages, Salesforce Integrations
- A good team player, ability to learn quickly, excellent written and spoken communication
- Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM-201) is required
