Salesforce eCommerce Architect

About the Role

WillScot India IT GCC is seeking a Salesforce eCommerce Architect with 8+ years of Salesforce platform experience, including 5+ years specializing in eCommerce and digital commerce solutions. This role combines solution architecture leadership with hands-on Salesforce development. The Architect will design and govern end-to-end Experience Cloud and Salesforce Commerce Cloud solutions while periodically contributing as an individual contributor on complex, high-impact components.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership

• Lead the architectural design of enterprise-grade eCommerce solutions on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) using SFRA and Headless Commerce principles
• Own end-to-end technical architecture for Salesforce-based eCommerce and digital experience solutions
• Translate complex business requirements into modular, scalable, and secure technical solutions on the SFCC platform
• Define and enforce best practices for SFCC customizations, cartridge development, controller logic, and Business Manager configurations
• Define architecture standards, best practices, and governance
• Act as technical authority and escalation point for complex issues
• Mentor and guide Salesforce development teams.

Hands-On Development (Individual Contributor)

• Contribute directly to complex Apex, LWC, integrations, and performance-critical components
• Lead code reviews and ensure engineering quality
• Experience Cloud & Commerce Cloud Architect Experience Cloud portals including branding, navigation, security, and access models
• Design Commerce Cloud solutions covering catalog, pricing, promotions, checkout, and order lifecycle

Integrations & Platform Engineering

• Architect integrations with ERP, OMS, payment gateways, CMS, and marketing platforms using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware

Collaboration & Delivery

• Partner with Product, UX, Business, QA, and DevOps teams in Agile delivery
• Maintain architectural and technical documentation

• Required Experience & Skills8+ years Salesforce platform experience with 3+ years architecting solutions on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC / Demandware) / digital commerce experience
• Strong experience with Apex, LWC, Flows, integrations
• Experience with Agile, Git, CI/CD

• Education & CertificationsBachelors degree (IT / Engineering preferred)

Salesforce certifications (CTA, System Architect, B2C Commerce Architect, SFCC Developer ) preferred
