ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Sales Engineer to lead sales, marketing, and business development efforts across the KSA for our specialized portfolio of biological products. This is a high-impact role combining technical expertise with strategic sales acumen, targeting key sectors including agriculture, aquaculture operations, soil remediation, and environmental bioremediation projects.
The successful candidate will serve as the primary bridge between our technical team and clients, leveraging deep product knowledge to identify market opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth in the KSA market.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Sales & Business Development
Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for KSA, identifying and penetrating high-value customer segments within agriculture, aquaculture, and bioremediation sectors
Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities through prospecting, relationship building, and strategic account management
Conduct needs assessments for potential clients and recommend tailored biological solutions that address their specific environmental and operational challenges
Prepare and present technical proposals, product demonstrations, and ROI analyses to support sales activities
Negotiate contracts and terms with institutional and commercial clients to achieve revenue targets and margin objectives
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities, with regular forecasting and reporting to management
Visit sites and help build local business prospects.
2. Technical Product Expertise & Support
Develop and maintain deep technical knowledge of our biological product portfolio including gut probiotics, water probiotics, bioremediation consortia, soil remediation solutions, and specialized biocultural
Provide technical consultation to customers regarding product selection, dosage optimization, application protocols, and expected outcomes
Conduct on-site client visits and feasibility assessments to understand contamination profiles, treatment requirements, and project scope
Assist in troubleshooting customer challenges and collaborating with technical teams to ensure product efficacy and customer satisfaction
Prepare technical documentation including product datasheets, application guides, case studies, and regulatory compliance certifications
3. Marketing & Market Development
Develop marketing strategies and promotional campaigns targeting key market segments across KSA
Create content (case studies, whitepapers, technical videos, presentations) that highlight product efficacy and competitive differentiation
Participate in industry exhibitions, trade shows, conferences, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and generate leads
Conduct competitive intelligence and market analysis to identify emerging opportunities, regulatory trends, and customer preferences
Support client education through workshops, webinars, and technical seminars
Establish relationships with strategic partners, distributors, and complementary service providers
4. Relationship & Account Management
Develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders including wastewater treatment operators, aquaculture facilities, agricultural enterprises, environmental consultants, and regulatory bodies
Conduct regular client visits to ensure product satisfaction, gather feedback, and identify expansion opportunities
Manage customer lifecycle from lead generation through contract renewal, ensuring long-term partnership value
Collaborate with internal teams (product development, technical support, operations) to address customer needs and improve service delivery
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
Technical knowledge of microbiology, wastewater treatment, soil remediation, aquaculture, or environmental bioremediation is essential
Professional Experience:
Minimum 4 years of professional experience in sales, technical sales, business development, or account management roles
Demonstrated experience selling technical or specialized products to institutional or commercial clients
Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and revenue goals
Experience in B2B sales, preferably within environmental, biotechnology, water treatment, agriculture, or aquaculture sectors
Essential Skills & Competencies:
Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of biological treatment processes, microbial mechanisms, environmental remediation, and product application methodologies
Sales Excellence: Proven ability to identify customer needs, develop solutions, build relationships, and close deals
Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
Language & Licensing Requirements:
Fluent English (spoken and written);
Proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable
Valid driver's license (international or Saudi driving license upon hire)
Willing to obtain Saudi driving license and complete local compliance training if required
Willingness to Relocate:
Must be willing to relocate to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on either a contractual or permanent basis
Flexibility regarding employment structure (fixed-term contract or permanent position) is required
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree or advanced technical certification in Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology, or Microbiology
Prior experience in the Middle Eastern or Gulf region markets
Familiarity with aquaculture operations, shrimp farming, fish farming, or other aquatic agriculture systems
Experience with wastewater treatment plant operations, design, or optimization
Knowledge of soil contamination assessment, bioremediation technologies, and phytoremediation
Exposure to the oil and gas sector, with understanding of hydrocarbon remediation challenges
Track record of building distributor or partnership networks
Experience with ISO certifications, environmental compliance, or regulatory approvals
Exposure to composting systems, biosolids management, or agricultural biotechnology
Prior experience with SaaS, CRM systems, or marketing automation tools
