Job title: Sales Officer (East India)

This is an exciting opportunity to join an award-winning publisher within a fast-paced, dynamic, and supportive Sales team. The Sales team plays a pivotal role by collaborating with each department to shape and execute commercial strategies for Pan Macmillan India. They oversee daily operations in sales, product management, marketing, and publicity for all titles across the designated region. By producing market information and analyses, they track the performance of the frontlist and backlist against targets and manage costs effectively. The team is dedicated to maximizing sales, aligning with or surpassing the organizations objectives, and embracing innovative sales channels in response to market trends, always striving to fulfill our organizational goals.

Your role:

The will manage Sales for designated territory, sales reporting, distribution, and provide support to the Senior Regional Sales Manager North & East India.

Qualification: Post-graduate degree level

Experience: 5+ years in trade publishing

Key tasks:

• Compiling and reviewing regional distribution and sales returns strategies in conjunction with the reporting manager.
• Manage Sales for designated territory, sales reporting, distribution, and marketing partnership and acquire shelf-space at retail level.
• Designated Territory: West Bengal, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Jharkhand, and in Northeast -
• Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura.
• Regular sales visit to the local and out-station distributors and retailers across the designated territory for promotions and booking orders.

The employee will work remotely and be based in Kolkata.
