Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Sales and Marketing Teams are responsible for the sales and marketing of TE's products, systems or services including sales oriented activities, market development and communications.
Responsibilities
Being the bridge between customers and TE sources, addressing queries. assuring, and providing for required documentation by customers and continuous follow up with them. Manage Customer Advance Engg, Development teams, Procurement , Integration team function to secure TE products in vehicle application
Understand Electrical architecture & TE scope in the new applications definition at customer ,
Coordinate with TE Local / Global team to introduce TE products in new applications.
Connect with OEM teams to know future trends where need to develop / localize the product as per OEM requirement.
Coordinate for timely submission of Bids / Quotations as per OEM Sales.
Analyzing online drawings , specifications for new product screenings and reports from sources and verifying them.
On-site representative of TE, in close proximity to OEM and always available to support them at short notice.
Presentation Engineering technical proposals in the context of a variety of projects. Present Engineering proposals to win new business & competition replacement to increase TE CPV in respective OEM.
Coordinates with Advance Engg , Platform Engineering , Development teams, procurement teams at OEM along with TE Internal stake holders to pursue opportunity & engage in early stage to spc in TE products. Coordinate to develop new products & develop Proof of concepts to satisfy customer Application requirement with TE product.
Staying in control in critical situations and pointing out proposals for a common solution.
Take any impressions and information at the customer and pass them on to TE in an orderly manner according to topic and relevance.
Work independently in a solution-oriented manner, coupled with the ability to help self and others
When required, immediately record complaints on site and pass them on to internal quality management. In case of Warranty , Quality issues , coordinate with team to resolve the topics technically.
Approval processing for new developments, duplications, replacements, and relocations
If required, short term takeover of work on site at OEM in the plant and the other OEM locations, resolving initial complaint issues through rework (connector replacement, sealing, component replacement, etc.).
Prompt communication of specific information on TE portfolio products (automotive relays, sensors, connectors, contacts, etc.) to contacts at OEM.
Receipt, internal ordering of required sample parts and direct delivery to OEM contact persons
Receiving, packing, and shipping of sample parts, field failure parts, cable harnesses etc. for further analysis at TE
Regular communication with the development departments OEM Sales / Application sales team for better response.
Roll out customer satisfaction survey and take necessary actions to improve customer satisfaction
Education and Knowdledge
B.Tech. degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering & Candidate should have a minimum work experience of 4 to 5 years in Automotive industry
Advanced degree (MBA) or relevant.
Knowledge of products: connectors, sensors, and processes like molding and stamping
Should be willing to learn new things and able to provide innovative solutions for the problem faced.
Frequent visits to customers across South and North India would be required based on Quality incidences.
Should be flexible with work timings during critical times.
Excellent computer skills, including MS Office tools
Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain and teach methodologies
Critical Experience
Incumbent will be working in Vehicle Applications , development , Engineering and in a similar manufacturing industry & hands on experience.
Experience dealing with customer in difficult situations and people
Competencies
Business acumen; Knowledge of products, tools and processes to be able to identify defects and address them effectively
Execution, planning, scheduling, and control: Determine the need for material and capacity to address expected demand, execute the resulting plans, and update planning and financial information to reflect the results.
Reporting and documentation skills: Knowledge of how quality reports are prepared and act as a filter for quality documentation with respect to customer complaints.
Analysis and prioritization: being able to effectively analyze cause of customer complaints and address them; also being able to prioritize critical activities
Market intelligence: Understanding the market trends, continuously developing ways to improve processes and prevent discrepancies.
Communication and negotiation skills: Effective articulation skills to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and customers, understand their requirements, negotiate and deliver.
