Sales Leader Utilities & Infrastructure Software Solutions


Role Overview

The Sales Leader will drive revenue growth by acquiring and expanding utility and infrastructure customers across India in the power, telecom, water, and gas sectors. The role owns end-to-end salesfrom opening new accounts to closing complex dealsby positioning software-led solutions such as GIS, AI, cloud, and enterprise applications. The individual will work closely with technical presales and delivery teams to build long-term strategic accounts.


Key Responsibilities

Market & Account Development:

Identify and open new utility and infrastructure accounts across India

Build relationships with senior business, IT, and transformation stakeholders

Generate opportunities through networks, referrals, events, and direct outreach

Own assigned regions/accounts with clear revenue responsibility


Solution & Deal Ownership:

Position GIS, AI, cloud consulting, and software development solutions

Collaborate with presales to shape solutions, proposals, and bids

Own commercial discussions, pricing, negotiations, and deal closure

Manage customer decision cycles, objections, and procurement processes


Pipeline & Revenue Management:

Build and maintain a strong qualified sales pipeline

Track opportunities, bids, and deal progress in CRM

Provide accurate forecasts and revenue visibility to leadership

Own quarterly and annual revenue targets


Strategic Growth & Brand Presence:

Represent the company at industry forums, client meetings, and partner events

Work with OEM and platform partners where required

Drive cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing accounts

Develop multiyear account strategies rather than one-time deals


Experience & Skills

Experience:

5+ years of enterprise or B2B technology / solution sales

Proven sales experience in utilities, telecom, infrastructure, or adjacent sectors

Exposure to private and semi-governmental organizations

Existing industry relationships preferred


Skills & Competencies:

Strong executive-level communication and stakeholder management

Value-based selling and complex deal negotiation skills

Prospecting, account opening, and relationship building

Ability to manage technical, commercial, and procurement stakeholders

Experience handling long sales cycles, RFPs, and multi-stakeholder buying


Knowledge:

Understanding of the Indian utilities and infrastructure landscape

Working knowledge of GIS platforms, AI, cloud, and software solutions

Familiarity with Indian procurement and contracting processes


Location & Travel

Preferred locations: Hyderabad, NCR, or Mumbai

Location agnostic for the right candidate

Willingness to travel extensively across India
