Qualification & Experience:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 20+ years of experience in corporate insurance sales, preferably with exposure to Pharma and Chemical clients.
  • Exposure to Property, Liability, Marine, and Employee Benefit insurance products will be an added advantage.



Role Summary:

The role involves driving business growth in the Pharmaceutical and Chemical sectors by identifying, acquiring, and managing corporate insurance clients. The incumbent will be responsible for developing sector-specific strategies, deepening client relationships, and ensuring comprehensive risk and insurance solutions are provided in line with industry standards.


Key Responsibilities:

P&L leader for Pharma & Chemical

  • Identify and target potential clients within the Pharmaceutical and Chemical industries for corporate insurance solutions.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve assigned business targets.
  • Conduct detailed risk assessments and coordinate with internal teams to propose suitable insurance programs.
  • Manage the end-to-end client engagement cycle from lead generation, proposal preparation, negotiation, to policy placement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and risk exposures specific to the Pharma and Chemical sectors.
  • Collaborate with the Claims and Servicing teams to ensure timely support and client satisfaction.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, client meetings, and networking forums to enhance market visibility.


Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of risk exposures and insurance requirements within the Pharma and Chemical industries.
  • Proven sales and business development experience in corporate or commercial insurance.
  • Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to design and present customized insurance solutions.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple client portfolios.
