Overview:
Actively seeking a Sales Engineer, a technical expert who works with sales / Business Development teams to understand customer needs and recommend solutions that meet those needs. This is a key role in the sales process, as it involves both a deep understanding of the technical aspects of a product and the ability to communicate those details effectively to potential customers. This individual must have a deep understanding of API technologies and its application in a variety of industries and use cases.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Technical knowledge: Maintaining a deep understanding of APIwiz capabilities, as well as the broader context of microservices and API-driven architectures.
Customer engagement: Building and maintaining relationships with customers, and working with the sales team to understand their specific requirements and use cases for API lifecycle Management.
Product demonstrations: Providing demonstrations and presentations to potential customers, highlighting their features, benefits, and technical specifications.
Technical support: Providing technical support to customers throughout the sales process, and responding to any technical questions or concerns that may arise.
Solution development: Working with the sales team to develop custom solutions that meet the unique needs of individual customers, and ensuring that the proposed solutions are technically sound and feasible.
Collaboration: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as product development, marketing, and engineering, to ensure the sales team has the information and support they need to be successful.
Sales support: Supporting the sales team in their efforts to close deals, by providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the sales process.
What were looking for:
A successful Sales Engineer will have a strong technical background, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- 6+ years of sales engineering, technical support, or engineering experience.
- 3+ years experience in SaaS, Cloud, or similar industries.
- Experience presenting to senior business and technical executives with customized product demos, and handling any technical concerns or objections.
- Experience working with the clients technical team to develop POC and a joint plan to ensure smooth implementation.
- Ability to effectively convey customer requirements to Product Management, Support, and Engineering teams.
- Working knowledge of coding languages, including Java, Node.js, and Python.
- Prior experience using Jenkins, AWS, GCP, Docker, Apigee, Mulesoft, Kong, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
- Experience in a start-up or a start-up mentality.
- Experience developing products or contributing to open-source projects is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or the equivalent in experience.
- Experience communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-starter who can work with limited direction.
- Proven track record of success in a fast growing and scaling business.
