Sales Engineer
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka
Department: Sales & Business Development
Role Overview
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for technical sales, client acquisition, project coordination, and business development for mechanical parking solutions. The role requires a combination of technical understanding and strong sales capability to convert leads into successful projects.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in real estate, commercial buildings, hospitals, malls, and residential projects.
- Generate leads through site visits, networking, architects, consultants, and developers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, architects, PMC consultants, and project managers.
Technical Sales
- Understand client requirements and recommend suitable mechanical parking solutions.
- Prepare and present technical proposals, project layouts, and cost estimates.
- Explain system functionality, advantages, and ROI to customers.
Client Meetings & Presentations
- Conduct product presentations and technical discussions with clients.
- Participate in project meetings with architects, structural consultants, and contractors.
- Coordinate with the internal engineering team for design approvals and technical clarifications.
Project Coordination
- Work closely with design, production, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Follow up on quotations, negotiations, and purchase orders.
- Ensure proper documentation and handover during project completion.
Market Intelligence
- Track competitor activities and market trends in parking automation and smart parking solutions.
- Provide feedback to management regarding customer requirements and market demand.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Civil Engineering / Electrical Engineering.
- 25 years of experience in technical sales, engineering sales, or industrial equipment sales.
- Experience in construction, building equipment, elevators, or parking systems is an advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to read drawings and technical layouts.
- Negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience working with real estate developers or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD drawings and project layouts.
- Willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings.
