About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Sales Engineer to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for expanding our customer base, strengthening client relationships, and driving business growth across the Tamil Nadu and Kerala region.
Qualifications, Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (any discipline)
- 23 years of sales experience in the semiconductor or electronic components industry (mandatory)
- Strong sales skills with proven ability to close deals and achieve targets
- Thorough understanding of the electronic components and semiconductor market
- Knowledge of sales in Telematics, Smart Metering, POS, Sound-Box, E-bike, and relevant IoT segments
- Strong technical understanding of electronic components and applications
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and CRM systems
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce for lead and opportunity tracking
- Excellent communication skills in Tamil/Malayalam and English
- Strong convincing and negotiation abilities
- Experience in meeting clients, building relationships, and achieving sales targets
- Must be based in Chennai or willing to relocate
- Willingness to travel locally to meet customers
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Kerala to meet customers
- Must have own mode of transport (two-wheeler or car)
Key Responsibilities:
- Cold-calling prospective customers and scheduling client meetings
- Meeting customers regularly and achieving assigned sales targets
- Prospecting, identifying, and acquiring new customers
- Understanding customer requirements and recommending suitable electronic component solutions
- Negotiating prices, terms, and closing sales deals
- Maintaining accurate records of leads and opportunities using Salesforce CRM
- Building and nurturing long-term customer relationships
- Coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction
