The Sales Development Representative (SDR) role exists to proactively create new pipeline opportunities by identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective customers. This role focuses on structured prospecting across approved outreach channels and generating Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) for the Sales team. The SDR plays a critical role in ensuring a steady flow of new business opportunities into the pipeline.
- Identify and research target accounts aligned with company ICP
- Execute structured outreach through calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn, events, referrals, and other approved initiatives
- Initiate first-level conversations with prospective customers
- Validate basic business fit and buying interest
- Generate Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs)
- Schedule qualified meetings for BDMs / Sales team
- Maintain consistent follow-up discipline
- Accurately log all activities and lead details in CRM
- Consistent daily prospecting activity
- Creation of new opportunities from target accounts
- Proper qualification before MQL creation
- Clean and accurate CRM documentation
- Strong coordination with Sales for meeting readiness
- Prevent artificial inflation of activity or MQL numbers
- 13 years of experience in SDR / Business Development / B2B outbound roles
- Strong experience in cold calling, structured email outreach, and LinkedIn prospecting
- Comfort initiating conversations with new prospects
- Ability to handle objections and drive engagement
- Experience working with CRM tools
- Familiarity with modern sales tools and AI-assisted outreach platforms
- High consistency and discipline in daily execution
- Steady month-on-month pipeline creation
- Consistent meeting flow for Sales
- Strong outreach-to-meeting conversion
