Role Overview

Nemetschek Group is seeking dynamic and ambitious Sales Development Representatives and Business Development Representatives to join our rapidly growing India operations. This is an exciting opportunity to build the foundation of our go-to-market strategy in India and become part of a company that is revolutionizing the AEC/O industry through intelligent software solutions.

As an SDR/BDR, you will be responsible for pipeline generation, lead qualification, and initial client engagement for our comprehensive portfolio of AEC/O software solutions including Allplan, Vectorworks, ArchiCAD, Bluebeam, Solibri, RISA, and other market-leading products. You will play a critical role in identifying and nurturing potential customers within the architecture, engineering, and construction sectors.

Key Responsibilities



Pipeline Generation: Identify, research, and qualify potential customers in the AEC/O industry through outbound prospecting, cold calling, email campaigns, and LinkedIn engagement strategies


Lead Qualification: Assess prospect fit and needs to determine sales-readiness; qualify leads based on BANT criteria (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline)


Client Engagement: Conduct initial discovery calls with prospects to understand their business challenges and introduce relevant Nemetschek solutions

Relationship Building: Develop and maintain positive relationships with prospective customers, architects, engineers, contractors, and industry stakeholders

Sales Enablement: Work closely with Account Executives and Sales leadership to handoff qualified opportunities and support the entire sales cycle

Market Research: Conduct competitive analysis and stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging customer needs in the AEC/O sector

CRM Management: Maintain accurate and timely records in Salesforce CRM; manage pipeline activities, lead status, and regular reporting

Target Achievement: Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly pipeline generation targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)

Product Knowledge: Develop deep understanding of Nemetschek's software offerings and how they solve specific customer pain points in design, construction, and operations

Collaboration: Actively collaborate with marketing and sales leadership to refine messaging, improve lead quality, and increase conversion rates

Industry Engagement: Build relationships with industry associations, attend AEC/O conferences, and participate in networking events

Required Qualifications


Education



Bachelors degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, or related technical disciplines) - Minimum requirement

Or equivalent professional qualification in architecture, construction management, or related technical fields

Pre-qualification or ongoing technical training preferred

Experience

6-8 years of proven experience in B2B software sales, SaaS sales, or AEC/O software industry

Demonstrated track record of successful pipeline generation and lead qualification

Experience in selling complex enterprise software solutions to technical/engineering buyers

Strong prospecting skills with proven ability to generate inbound and outbound leads

Previous experience with CAD, BIM software, or construction technology is a strong advantage

Familiarity with the Indian AEC/O market and key customer segments (architecture firms, engineering consultancies, construction companies, facility management) preferred

Technical Skills

Proficiency in CRM platforms (Salesforce, Marketo, or similar)

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Excellent research and analytical abilities

Comfort with sales automation tools and digital prospecting platforms (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, Zoominfo etc.)

Ability to quickly learn new software products and technical concepts

Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Familiarity with industry verticals: Architecture firms, Engineering consultancies or firms, Construction companies, or BIM Services firms

MBA or professional certifications in marketing or business development

Knowledge of construction project delivery methodologies
