POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Sales and Marketing Associate/Manager, you'll be at the forefront of business development for both Food Clock and The Apprize. You'll identify and acquire new corporate clients, develop strategic partnerships, and drive regional sales while building lasting relationships with clients and partners. This is a high-impact role in a fast-paced startup environment offering significant growth opportunities.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Client Acquisition

1.Identify, prospect, and onboard new corporate clients across Bangalore and/or Hyderabad regions

2.Drive regional sales by developing and closing B2B leads through outbound and inbound channels

3.Prepare and present compelling sales pitches and product demonstrations to prospective clients

4.Negotiate contracts and finalize commercial terms with clients

5.Maintain a robust sales pipeline and track conversion metrics consistently

6.Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets


Strategic Partnerships & Market Expansion

7.Develop strategic alliances to expand partner network and service offerings

8.Identify and onboard new food partners (for Food Clock) and suppliers (for The Apprize)

9.Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, new products, and new opportunities in B2B corporate services

10.Analyze competitive landscape and market dynamics to inform sales strategies


Client Relationship Management

11.Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact

12.Handle customer escalations and business issues professionally and promptly

13.Conduct periodic client meetings for account reviews and business growth discussions

14.Ensure client satisfaction and identify upselling/cross-selling opportunities

15.Gather customer feedback and provide insights to improve service delivery


Campaign & Marketing Support

16.Collaborate with the marketing team to craft localized campaigns that attract and retain customers

17.Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking sessions for brand visibility

18.Support creation of marketing collateral and sales materials

19.Share market insights and customer feedback to inform marketing strategies


Reporting & Administration

20.Track and report on key sales metrics, including conversion rates, pipeline value, and revenue

21.Maintain detailed CRM records and provide regular sales performance reports

22.Prepare weekly/monthly updates on lead generation and sales activities

23.Document lessons learned and best practices for team knowledge sharing


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, Economics, or related field

Master's degree preferred but not mandatory


Core Competencies

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication in English, Hindi, and local language (Kannada/Telugu)

Sales Acumen: Proven ability to prospect, pitch, and close B2B deals

Negotiation Skills: Strong contract negotiation and deal-structuring capabilities

Relationship Building: Ability to establish rapport and maintain professional relationships

Result-Oriented Mindset: Self-driven, proactive approach to achieving targets

Customer Focus: Strong understanding of corporate client needs and industry dynamics


Technical Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Comfortable with CRM tools and sales management systems

Basic data analysis and reporting capabilities

Google Suite proficiency


Experience

Prior experience in food delivery, FMCG, B2B sales, hospitality, or corporate supplies is preferred

Successful track record of client acquisition and sales pipeline management

Experience working in startup or fast-paced environments


PREFERRED SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

Knowledge of Bangalore / Hyderabad corporate landscape

Familiarity with food industry trends and corporate catering practices

Understanding of B2B supply chain and procurement processes

Experience with account management and customer retention strategies

Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to take ownership of outcomes

Willingness to visit client locations and conduct ground-level meetings

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Passion for food and corporate culture innovation


LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

English (Fluent)

Hindi (Working proficiency)

Preferred:

Kannada (for Bangalore)

Telugu (for Hyderabad)


WORK ENVIRONMENT & LOGISTICS

Location Details

Primary Office: Banggalore

Operations: Bangalore &/or Hyderabad

Travel: Regular client visits required (approximately 50%+ travel within city)

On-Site Requirement: 100% In-office


Working Hours

Standard: 9:30 AM - 7:30 PM (Monday-Friday) and half day on Saturdays

Flexibility: Available for client meetings and events as required

Occasional weekend engagement for client events and conferences (comp-off available)


PERFORMANCE METRICS

You'll be measured on:

1.Sales Targets: New client acquisition and revenue growth (50% weightage)

2.Pipeline Development: Quality and quantity of leads generated (20% weightage)

3.Client Retention: Repeat business and account satisfaction (15% weightage)

4.Process Compliance: Timely CRM updates and reporting accuracy (10% weightage)

5.Collaboration: Support to team and cross-functional initiatives (5% weightage)
