Max Budget: UPTO 25 LPA
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly strategic Senior Manager / Head of Sales Analytics to serve as the core analytics partner to our field sales leadership. In this critical role, you will deliver sub-national insights and performance analytics that drive data-informed decision-making, optimize resource allocation, and elevate field force effectiveness. By collaborating closely with the Commercial and Marketing teams, you will ensure a unified view of performance across geographies and translate complex data into actionable strategies that empower our sales teams to execute with precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnership: Act as the primary strategic partner to Field Sales leadership within a designated Therapeutic Area, supporting territory and region-level planning, performance reviews, resource optimization, and new indication launches.
- Field Effectiveness SPOC: Serve as the single point of contact for Customer Facing Capabilities, managing and triaging inquiries regarding Field Effectiveness.
- KPI Development: Develop, track, and refine key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sales execution, ensuring alignment with national brand strategies and marketing objectives.
- Insight Generation: Co-lead the creation of sub-national performance insights, translating data into recommendations for resource allocation, incentive design, and pull-through strategies.
- Data Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc and recurring analyses to identify geographic and customer segment trends utilizing metrics like call activity, HCP engagement, and territory coverage.
- Dashboard Management: Build and manage field-facing dashboards and reporting tools to synthesize key sales metrics and facilitate real-time decision-making for senior stakeholders.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with external vendors and internal partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality, actionable Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) reports.
- Tactical Design: Collaborate in designing and measuring field tactics, including targeting effectiveness, sales cadence, and deployment optimization.
- Data Governance: Partner with data management teams to validate sources, define metrics, troubleshoot inconsistencies, and ensure absolute data integrity.
- Team Mentorship: Mentor junior analysts and matrixed team members, sharing therapeutic-area knowledge and analytics best practices to foster career growth and team efficacy.
Basic Qualifications
- Education & Experience: BA/BS degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Analytics, Forecasting, and/or Sales Operations. (An equivalent combination of an MS/MA/MBA or consulting experience will be considered).
- Industry Acumen: Proven life sciences analytics experience with a deep understanding of industry best practices.
- Strategic & Analytical Skills: Well-developed strategic thinking ability with the capacity to synthesize disparate data sources into a coherent narrative. Strong ability to design and execute analyses for complex business questions.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Pharma Data Sources: Experience with national-level sales/demand data (e.g., IQVIA, McKinsey, etc.).
- CRM Systems: Proficiency in Veeva, Salesforce, etc.
- BI Tools: Expertise in data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
- Data Platforms: Ability to access and manipulate large data sets via cloud-based data warehouses.
- General IT: Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and project management skills. Ability to deftly balance multiple priorities in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with programming languages (SQL, R, Python) and core data science principles.
- Proven experience applying AI / Machine Learning methodologies to solve complex quantitative questions and derive actionable insights.
- A track record of thriving in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while consistently delivering exceptional results.
