Senior SailPoint developer

Location: Noida

The SailPoint Engineer/Developer is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and maintaining identity governance solutions within the SailPoint platform. The role works closely with the Product Owner, Business Analysts, the IGA Lead Architect, and application owners to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant identity management capabilities.

The Engineer/Developer translates functional and technical requirements into stable, highquality solutions, builds integrations, enhances workflows, and ensures operational reliability. The role requires strong technical expertise, problemsolving ability, and a solid understanding of identity lifecycle processes, access governance, and security best practices.

The Engineer/Developer operates in a Scrum delivery team, contributes to refinement and delivery planning, collaborates actively with team members, and shares knowledge to continuously improve the product and the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SailPoint Development & Configuration

• Design, configure, and implement features, policies, and workflows within SailPoint (IdentityIQ/IdentityNow).
• Develop and maintain connectors and integrations (e.g., AD, LDAP, JDBC, SCIM 2.0, REST, Azure AD).
• Customize and enhance lifecycle management (LCM) workflows, rules, and provisioning logic.
• Implement access review/certification configurations, policies, and reporting.

Integration & Scripting

• Build and maintain custom scripts, transforms, and business logic using Java, BeanShell, PowerShell, Bash, or relevant languages.
• Develop and consume APIs (REST/SCIM) for integration with enterprise systems.
• Support integration patterns across HR, AD/Azure, SaaS systems, and internal business applications.

Technical Design & Documentation

• Prepare lowlevel design documentation, technical specifications, and build documentation.
• Ensure alignment with architectural guidelines, security policies, and IGA governance principles.
• Work closely with the IGA Lead Architect on solution design, technical decisions, and platform direction.

Delivery Collaboration

• Participate in refinement sessions to provide technical input and estimate development work.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to ensure requirements are clear, testable, and technically feasible.
• Provide technical guidance and support during functional testing and UAT.
• Participate in sprint reviews, demos, and knowledgesharing sessions.

Operations, Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide 2nd/3rd level support for issues related to SailPoint functionality, integrations, and configuration.
• Troubleshoot provisioning issues, connector errors, and workflow problems.
• Monitor and maintain system health, logs, and operational stability.
• Support deployment processes and ensure readiness for releases.

Quality, Security & Compliance

• Ensure all development follows secure coding practices and IGA best practices.
• Provide evidence and documentation for audits, certifications, and compliance controls.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and risk teams when changes impact security posture or governance processes.

QUALIFICATIONS (Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required)

Technical Skills

• Experience with SailPoint (IdentityIQ and/or IdentityNow) or similar IGA platforms.
• Strong understanding of identity lifecycle, roles/entitlements, provisioning, and access governance.
• Experience with Java, PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Familiarity with databases (Oracle, SQL Server), APIs (REST/SCIM), and directory services (AD, Azure AD, LDAP).
• Understanding of DevOps concepts and tools (Git/Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, pipelines, CI/CD).
