Safety Manager

We are seeking an experienced Manager Safety Division (LSA/FFE/Calibration) to oversee safety operations, compliance management, and vendor coordination within ship management operations. The role involves ensuring adherence to maritime regulations, monitoring safety performance, and coordinating with internal teams and service vendors to maintain operational safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Class requirements, ISO standards, and maritime regulatory guidelines at all times.
• Oversee implementation and monitoring of the Safety Management System (SMS).
• Manage and onboard vendors and service providers in line with company standards.
• Coordinate with the Accounts team for payables and receivables related to safety and service operations.
• Liaise daily with Service Engineers and Customer Support Managers for operational coordination.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments as required.
• Monitor safety KPIs and ensure timely closure of observations and non-conformities.
• Investigate incidents and safety violations, recommending corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare safety compliance reports and documentation for management review.

Looking For

• 515 yrs of experience in LSA / FFE / Calibration within the marine industry
• Strong knowledge of Class requirements, ISO standards, and maritime regulatory compliance
• Experience in Safety Management System (SMS), safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
• Strong vendor management and operational coordination within ship management companies
