About the Role

Apurvakriti Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and proactive Chief Safety Officer for its Metro Track Project in Pune. The role involves leading all safety-related activities at the project site, ensuring strict compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and project-specific safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and procedures at the project site.
• Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations, local laws, and metro/railway safety standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments at site.
• Identify potential hazards and recommend preventive and corrective measures.
• Organize and conduct safety trainings, tool-box talks, and induction programs for employees and contractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and client representatives on safety matters.
• Ensure proper usage of PPEs, safety signage, and emergency preparedness systems.
• Maintain safety documentation, registers, and statutory records.
• Promote a strong safety culture across all levels of the project team.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Degree / Diploma in Engineering with Safety Certification (ADIS / PDIS / NEBOSH or equivalent).
• More than 10 years of experience in safety management, preferably in Metro / Railway / Infrastructure Projects.
• Strong knowledge of HSE laws, construction safety norms, and metro project safety standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to independently manage site safety operations.
