Job Overview

Join Citi’s Trade and Working Capital Solutions (TWCS) Technology team as a SaaS Solutions Architect, supporting a strategic modernization initiative to deliver existing white-label services through scalable Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) models. This role is pivotal in enabling the technology transformation journey, aligning modern architectural practices with client-centric innovation across the global trade finance ecosystem.

As a key technical counterpart to the SaaS Program Lead, you will drive the architectural design, modernization roadmap, and technical governance needed to scale and deliver secure, resilient, and client-aligned SaaS offerings.

Responsibilities:

• Architect Scalable SaaS Solutions: Design modern, secure, and multi-tenant SaaS architecture to support white-label client needs and evolving TWCS product capabilities.
• Modernization & Migration Planning: Lead current-to-future state architectural assessments and define modernization blueprints ensuring seamless client migration.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal engineering, infrastructure, security, and compliance teams, as well as external client technology stakeholders to drive alignment on design decisions.
• Security & Compliance: Embed robust security architecture principles and ensure adherence to global financial regulatory standards.
• Platform Enablement: Provide architectural oversight across DevOps automation, API integrations, observability, and performance optimization to meet SLAs and high availability targets.
• Innovation & IP Monetization: Contribute to identifying architectural strategies that support the monetization of TWCS IP through flexible and modular SaaS frameworks.
• Governance & Best Practices: Establish architectural patterns, coding standards, and documentation to ensure consistent delivery across TWCS capabilities.

Qualifications:

• 12+ years of technology experience with at least 5+ years in SaaS architecture or solution design roles.
• Proven expertise in designing and deploying scalable SaaS platforms in cloud-native or hybrid environments.
• Experience delivering solutions in public cloud.
• Experience with microservices, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and API-first development.
• Sound knowledge of security, compliance, and data protection practices, particularly within regulated industries like financial services.
• Strong grasp of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and observability frameworks.
• Hands-on experience in financial services, fintech, or trade & logistics platforms is preferred.
• Ability to engage senior stakeholders and influence decision-making through structured architecture proposals.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree preferred
