Job Description: RTR (Record-to-Report) International Team Lead
Position Overview
The RTR International Team Lead will oversee global Record-to-Report (R2R) operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with international accounting standards, and smooth month-end close processes. This role requires strong leadership, technical accounting expertise, and the ability to manage cross-border teams in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Management & Oversight
- Lead the RTR team across multiple geographies, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial statements.
- Supervise journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and intercompany transactions.
- Drive month-end and year-end closing activities in line with IFRS/US GAAP/local GAAP requirements.
- Compliance & Controls
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit requirements.
- Maintain books of accounts under both international and local GAAP frameworks.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and reporting accuracy.
- Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary contact for finance stakeholders across regions.
- Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and other finance functions to ensure alignment.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on financial performance.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of RTR accountants and analysts.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance technical and process knowledge.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify process gaps and lead automation initiatives to improve efficiency.
- Implement best practices and standardize processes across regions.
- Support transformation projects and ERP system enhancements (SAP/Oracle).
Qualifications & Skills
- Professional qualification in Accounting/Finance (CA, CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- 510 years of experience in RTR/GL accounting, with at least 1 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and local GAAP .
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with international stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset, detail orientation, and problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
