Job Summary:

HFCL is looking for a seasoned Router Programme Head to lead the design, development, and delivery of high-performance IP/MPLS routers for its 5G business. The role will own the full product lifecycle and R&D execution, with a strong requirement for hands-on experience working with Broadcom switching/routing silicon platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end router product programs from architecture to market launch
• Define and execute R&D roadmap for IP routing platforms supporting 5G networks
• Drive system design using Broadcom ASICs/SoCs for routing and switching solutions
• Manage cross-functional teams (hardware, software, embedded, QA, validation)
• Ensure on-time delivery, quality, and performance benchmarks
• Work closely with product management and customers for feature definition
• Oversee vendor/technology partner engagement including Broadcom ecosystem
• Ensure compliance with telecom and networking standards

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Engineering (Telecom, Electronics, Computer Science, or related)
• 15+ years of experience in networking product R&D (routers preferred)
• Proven experience leading router development programs
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Broadcom chipsets/platforms (Jericho, Trident, Tomahawk, or similar)
• Strong expertise in IP/MPLS, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS), QoS, and transport networks
• Experience in hardware-software co-design and embedded systems

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to 5G backhaul/fronthaul architectures
• Experience with network OS (Linux-based NOS, SDK integrations)
• Product lifecycle management from concept to volume production
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills

• Led teams across:
• R&D (HW/SW)
• Operations/manufacturing

5. Global Exposure

• Experience working with international customers, partners, or global teams

• Experience in router/switch/wireless networking products
• Exposure to OEM/ODM management
• Understanding of networking technologies (L2/L3, IP, routing, switching)
