OCS Services is looking for a Rotating Equipment and Reliability Engineer to support the Ruby FPSO, ensuring high performance, reliability, and operational integrity of critical rotating machinery.
This role is responsible for providing technical leadership in rotating equipment reliability, maintenance strategy, and failure analysis while ensuring compliance with international offshore standards and operational performance requirements.

As part of our offshore operations team, we are looking to onboard a Rotating Equipment and Reliability Engineer to support the Ruby FPSO. This role will focus on optimizing the performance and reliability of critical rotating equipment, including compressors, pumps, and gas turbine generators, throughout the lifecycle of the asset.
What You Will Do
In this role, you will:
- Act as the Technical Advisor for Rotating Equipment and Reliability supporting Ruby FPSO operations and maintenance management.
- Monitor FPSO performance to ensure equipment operates within operational performance standards and recommend improvement actions where necessary.
- Ensure reliability and performance of turbines, compressors, pumps, and other rotating equipment throughout the asset lifecycle.
- Implement reliability engineering practices including Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), lifecycle asset management, risk management strategies, criticality assessment, bad actor identification, and single point failure analysis.
- Ensure compliance with OCS standards, industry regulations, class, flag state, and international codes.
- Prepare and review operational and maintenance procedures for rotating equipment.
- Lead and contribute to incident investigations and root cause analysis using methodologies such as 5 Why Analysis and Taproot.
- Develop and review Management of Change (MoC) documentation and support implementation of plant modifications including risk assessments and as-built documentation.
- Conduct periodic competency assessments of offshore leads and technicians responsible for rotating equipment maintenance.
- Maintain and update the Lessons Learned Register based on shutdown reports, breakdown reviews, surveys, and audit findings.
- Develop shutdown plans and work packs in coordination with the FPSO maintenance team.
- Review and resolve technical queries raised by offshore teams and clients.
- Coordinate with vendors and external consultants to support field activities and technical resolutions.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Level 2 certification in NDT techniques is an advantage.
- Vibration Analysis Category II certification is desirable.
Experience
- 15 years of experience in rotating equipment operations and maintenance.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong expertise in compressors, pumps, gas turbine generators, condition monitoring, and major equipment overhauls.
- Experience working in high-pressure offshore gas field environments.
- Offshore / FPSO experience is preferred.
- Experience with GE MARK VI control systems is an advantage.
- Exposure to offshore commissioning, operations, and multidisciplinary project environments is desirable.
Technical Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of FPSO marine and process systems and industry best practices.
- Thorough understanding of offshore regulations including class, flag state, and international standards.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (SAP or similar).
- Strong knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance and Risk-Based Inspection methodologies.

Work Environment
This role requires a strong understanding of rotating equipment and FPSO operations. Frequent offshore assignments are expected (approximately once every three months).
