Future Kraft is a hands-on robotics learning program building real-world robotics skills for ages 916 and engineering learners through structured tracks, practical labs, and demo days.

Future Kraft is a portfolio initiative of The Robot Foundry a robotics-only venture studio focused on solving real-world service and labor-shortage problems through practical robotics innovation and talent development.

Role Overview

Were hiring a Robotics Software Instructor based in Mumbai who can teach across our tracks:

  • Type 1 (912): beginner-friendly coding + sensors + simple robot behaviors
  • Type 2 (1216): stronger coding + mission challenges + debugging discipline
  • Engineering track: deeper software stack + integration + project mentoring

This is a teaching + facilitation role: youll guide learners through code, help them debug, and run high-energy practical sessions with clear measurable outcomes.

What Youll Teach (Typical Topics)

Depending on level:

  • Programming fundamentals (block-based and/or Python/C/C++ as per track)
  • Sensors logic actuators (motors/servos), basic electronics interfaces
  • Robot behaviors: line following, obstacle avoidance, basic navigation logic
  • Calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and structured debugging
  • Project development: milestones, reliability, demo readiness, presentation/storytelling
  • For engineering track: integration practices, basic tooling; ROS/OpenCV exposure is a plus (not mandatory)
Responsibilities
  • Deliver sessions using Future Kraft lesson plans (theory + labs)
  • Run practicals with a structured flow: setup build test debug demo
  • Support students during coding + bring-up + troubleshooting
  • Track progress and provide learner feedback
  • Prepare teams for demo day outcomes and reliability standards
  • Coordinate on kit readiness, laptops, lab setup
  • Improve curriculum assets (worksheets, checklists, code templates) over time
Required Qualifications
  • Hands-on robotics programming experience (projects, work, research, clubs, or teaching)
  • Strong fundamentals in Python/C/C++/Arduino-style development
  • Strong knowledge or experience in ROS/ROS2 and / or OpenCV
  • Comfortable with sensors/motors basics and debugging embedded/software issues
  • Able to teach beginners and mentor advanced learners
  • Reliable for weekend delivery; willing to travel within Mumbai (Powai/Andheri/Ghatkopar/Thane/Navi Mumbai)
Preferred (Nice to Have)
  • Prior teaching/mentoring (schools, maker spaces, college clubs/fests)
  • Arduino / ESP32 / Raspberry Pi experience
  • Basic Git workflow (engineering track)
  • Experience running workshops/hackathons/demo days
Time Commitment
  • Kids + Engineering batches are a combination of weekday theory (evening) + weekend practicals
  • Corporate bootcamps are only weekend
