Job Purpose
Responsible for gathering and analyzing data (including supply scenarios) and explaining what this means for the business. This helps guide the business on how many trucks are required each month to ensure a continued service to our stakeholders at the cheapest price
Analysts can also provide input to enable a decision on whether a potential deal is viable in terms of cost/operational efficiency.
Responsible for:
Day to day responsibilities include engagement meetings with Road transport team, Order to Deliver team, and hauler partners to actively track progress, collect data, investigate, and provide insights.
Day to Day responsibilities
- Responsible for owning and monitoring Road Transport MIS for leadership review and track on-time and accurate contractor SLA
- Responsible for preparation and analysis of Road Transport delivery capability and fleet planning efficiency
- Analyze Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) data and ensure accurate data input for daily scheduling process
- Analyze turnaround time of fuel delivery road tankers and generate reports for identifying improvement opportunities
- Daily sharing of situational report with T&S and Mobility team
- Root cause analysis of stock outs, redirects, tanker truck decantation delays at retail outlets and develop insights for relevant stakeholders
- Ensure Road Transport SharePoint usage and records management in line with Group records Management
- Monitor retail sales trends and provide inputs to Order to Deliver team for improving scheduling accuracy
- Work with Road Transport team to identify potential value leakages and optimizing service levels, HSSE and costs
- Monitor hailer wise Road Transport/Order to Deliver performance data and share inputs for reward and consequence management
- Support Distribution operations and cross-business analyses towards improvements in the road transport efficiency
Monthly responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial analysis with actionable insights for leadership review
- Analyze demand forecast accuracy, its impact on distribution service levels and financial impact of forecast errors as a key input to the monthly S&OP process
- Lead and drive monthly Trading & Supply and Mobility Interface to monitor service level agreement and drive operational efficiency improvement
- Monitor and drive Road Transport & Order to Deliver Ultimate potential initiatives through regular cadence. Update Road Transport Manager on the progress and status of initiatives
- Budget and SLA analysis, monitoring and reporting
- Support with analysis for Annual T&R budgeting exercise for road transport.
Additional responsibilities
- Weekly & Monthly LT updates for RT OTD for Leadership review
- Analysis of insights from periodic assurance activities for RT-OTD team (LOD1 etc)
- Support business initiatives - data collation, evaluation. Gather and compile data from internal and external sources, such as the finance system, CROSS and other business tools
- Ensure the accuracy of Distribution tariffs calculation and allocation to business partners through appropriate management and analyzing Cost2Serve tool and process
- Monitor system data ensure all customer data are properly registered in CROSS, GSAP, VMIFE and/or any other scheduling IT tools (e.g. products, tanks, delivery time windows and SLAs for each site, trucks weight, drivers data, site location map etc.)
Special Challenges
- Managing the multiple interfaces with haulers and business partners, customers and other key stakeholders within T&S for supporting Enterprise First decision making
- Support delivery of the required Customer Service and Unit Cost performance for multiple territories for distribution where targets and operating conditions vary significantly from market to market
- Standardization and simplification of processes; support data driven decision making and removing subjectivity
- Support delivery of CI/Lean projects; desirable to develop improvement skills and tools in order to identify the right approach for improving operational performance
