Risk Technology – Associate, Data & Enterprise Services

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Risk Technology (Associate,Data & Enterprise Services) to join their Mumbai-based technology delivery team supporting Risk and Enterprise Data functions. This individual will be a hands-on developer contributing to delivery across Market Risk, Credit Risk, and core data engineering initiatives . The role is ideal for a strong technical contributor with solid SQL/data skills, experience with risk data analysis, and an aptitude for problem solving and automation.

The associate will be part of a growing offshore team supporting global technology stakeholders and working closely with senior engineers and analysts.

Primary Responsibilities

Contribute to delivery of technology solutions across Market Risk and Credit Risk domains.

Perform hands-on development using SQL (Snowflake/other RDBMS) for data processing, transformation, reconciliation, and reporting.

Support development of risk data pipelines, reconciliations, and conversions from various source systems.

Assist in requirements analysis, documentation, development, testing, and deployment processes.

Build and maintain reports, data extracts, and dashboards for risk teams using BI/reporting tools.

Troubleshoot data quality issues, perform root-cause analysis, and support ongoing enhancements.

Work closely with global technology team members to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.

Support code reviews, testing cycles, and production release processes.

Required Qualifications and Experience

5+ years of hands-on technology experience, ideally within Risk Technology or Data Engineering.

Strong SQL skills (Snowflake, SQL Server, or equivalent); experience with data modeling and data transformation.

Experience in Market Risk or Credit Risk dataexposures, sensitivities, risk factors, position/transaction data, etc.

Experience with ETL pipelines, data reconciliations, and data conversion processes.

Familiarity with reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).

Exposure to scripting (Python preferred) for automation or data processing.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

Knowledge of risk systems, metrics, or market data sources.

Exposure to cloud environments (Azure/Snowflake).

Strong problem-solving ability, willingness to learn new technologies, and ability to self-study and upskill quickly.
