Key Responsibilities:

Risk Identification & Assessment: Systematically identify and analyze potential internal and external threats (e.g., financial, operational, cyber, regulatory, and reputational risks) that could impact the organization's objectives.
Strategy Development & Implementation: Design, implement, and monitor overall risk management processes, policies, and procedures, including risk mitigation and contingency plans.
Monitoring & Reporting: Continuously monitor the effectiveness of existing risk controls, track key risk indicators (KRIs), and prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and the board of directors.
Compliance & Auditing: Ensure all operations comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, industry standards (e.g., ISO 31000), and internal policies. Coordinate with internal and external auditors as needed.
Collaboration & Training: Partner with department heads (e.g., Finance, IT, Legal, HR) to embed risk awareness into daily operations and provide training and support to staff on risk management processes.
Crisis Management: Assist in drafting and refining business continuity plans to ensure organizational resilience in the event of a crisis or disruption.

Qualifications and Skills

Education

Minimum: Any bachelors degree in finance, economics, or a related field
Desired (Plus): Professional certifications like Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Financial Risk Manager (FRM) etc.

Experience:

Proven experience in a risk management role preferably in BFSI , with a strong understanding of risk assessment and control principles.
