Role Overview:

Job Title: Risk and Compliance Consultant

As a Risk and Compliance Consultant at The Digital Fifth, the role involves working closely with

senior consultants to deliver advisory and implementation projects for Banks, NBFCs, fintechs,

and other financial institutions. The candidate will contribute to designing policy frameworks,

conducting assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, with

opportunities for growth into senior consulting roles.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in interpreting and implementing compliance requirements under RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, NPCI, and other regulatory bodies.

- Support projects related to RBI Master Directions, ISO 27001, Business Continuity, DPDPA, RBI Digital Lending Guidelines, and Information Security frameworks

- Engage with customers to understand technology, application and security stack

- Conduct Security and risk assessments (operational, regulatory, IT/security, third-party/vendor), and perform gap assessment

- Draft policies, SOPs, data governance frameworks, and reporting mechanisms

- Work with senior consultants on project execution, including data analysis, documentation, presentations, and client workshops

- Prepare regulatory submissions, MIS reports, and compliance review decks

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Education: B.Tech + MBA preferred
• 24 years of experience in Risk & Compliance.
• Understanding of digital banking, payments, lending, wealth, and fintech ecosystems is preferred
• Preferably Professional certifications (or pursuing) like CISA, ISO 27001
• Prior experience in a consulting firm, Bank, NBFC, or fintech in Risk & Compliance functions.

Skills and Competencies Required:

• Good understanding of Indian BFSI regulations (RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, NPCI)
• Familiarity with data privacy, information security, business continuity
• Strong research and analytical skills for interpreting regulations.
• Ability to structure reports, frameworks, and client presentations.
