Revenue Accounting Specialist (ASC 606 | Clarity Systems)

We are hiring an experienced Revenue Accounting professional to support the global operations of a prestigious Life Sciences / Healthcare client. This role requires strong expertise in ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers) and hands-on experience with Clarity Systems (Clarity tool) .

Role Overview

As part of the Revenue Accounting team, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate revenue recognition, billing compliance, and accounts receivable management while supporting month-end and year-end close activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Review cash applications, account reconciliations, and AR aging analysis
• Manage customer accounts and drive timely collections
• Prepare and post recurring, adjusting, accrual, reclassification, and correcting journal entries
• Perform revenue recognition under ASC 606 , including:
• Identification of performance obligations
• Transaction price allocation
• Revenue scheduling
• Review and interpret customer contracts and legal agreements to ensure compliant billing and revenue treatment
• Resolve billing discrepancies in collaboration with Sales, Legal, and cross-functional teams
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and payment statuses
• Ensure strict adherence to SOPs and internal controls across AR and revenue processes
• Prepare and maintain AR reports using advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas, dashboards)
• Support accurate and efficient monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Apply strong analytical skills to support high-quality financial reporting

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in Revenue Accounting, Accounts Receivable, and Collections , preferably with a Big 4 firm (audit background strongly preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition)
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Clarity Systems / Clarity tool
• Experience working with major ERPs such as Oracle, NetSuite , or similar
• Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, dashboards); Visio/flowchart tools a plus
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI , or other data visualization tools is a plus
• Professional certification preferred (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent )
• Prior exposure to Life Sciences / Healthcare / Pharma industry highly preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong willingness to learn
