Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, CS/IT/EC/ECE, or MCA.
2. Preferred certifications: CCNA (Enterprise), NSE4, Versa Associate, or SD-WAN Specialist.
3. Mandatory: CCNP certification from a recognized global certification institute.
4. 36 years of experience in network operations, with at least 12 years in SD-WAN environments.

Job Summary:

The L2 SD-WAN Network Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise SD-WAN and network infrastructure.

The role involves working closely with Level 1 engineers, OEM vendors, and customers to resolve complex network issues and ensure network stability, performance, and security.

Job Description:

1. Monitor and maintain SD-WAN and WAN/LAN network operations.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SD-WAN, routing, VPNs, and connectivity.
3. Implement configuration changes, policy updates, and firmware upgrades.
4. Coordinate with OEM support (Cisco, Versa, Fortinet, Aruba, etc.) for issue resolution.
5. Analyze network performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
6. Support WAN optimization and QoS configurations.
7. Manage network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and SD-WAN edge devices.
8. Maintain network documentation, incident reports, and change records.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project deployments and migrations.
10. Follow ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes.

Technical Skills Required:

1. Strong understanding of SD-WAN technologies (Cisco Viptela, Versa, Fortinet, Aruba, Silver Peak, or equivalent).
2. Proficient in routing and switching protocols BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, and STP.
3. Experience with VPNs, IPsec, GRE tunnels, and MPLS.
4. Familiarity with firewalls (FortiGate, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA).
5. Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, NetFlow, etc.).
6. Knowledge of QoS, NAT, ACLs, and policy-based routing.
7. Hands-on experience with CLI and NMS platforms.
8. Basic automation or scripting knowledge (Python, Ansible) is a plus.
