Company Overview : Foundation for Neglected Disease Research (FNDR) is a not-for-profit biotech R&D organization dedicated to discovering and developing novel therapeutics, diagnostics, and devices for diseases with a high socio-economic impact. Since its inception in 2014, FNDR has generated a portfolio of therapeutics in tuberculosis, nontuberculous mycobacteria, malaria, dengue, leishmania, serious bacterial infections, fungal infections, COVID-19 and RSV, spanning over early-stage discovery to late-stage clinical trials. Qualifications:
MVSc pathologist (1 to 3 years experience in Industry is preferred)
Roles and Responsibilities :
-Provide support to the in vivo team in the overall conduct of preclinical studies.
-Provide support to the in vivo team in histopathological evaluation and interpretation of preclinical studies.
-Provide support to the in vivo team in necropsy, tissue collection and processing of preclinical studies.
-Conduct in vivo pharmacokinetics studies by various routes of administration across different species.
-Contribute to compound testing including PK/PD and efficacy studies.
-Maintain scientific documentation using an electronic lab notebook.
-Recording and compilation of the study data in accordance with study requirements.
-Familiar with basic principles and guidelines relevant to preclinical studies.
-Development and validation of preclinical infection models for evaluating novel therapeutics.
-Proactively review scientific literature to incorporate the latest findings, ideas, methodologies, and technologies into discovery research.
-Understand and adhere to CCSEA guidelines for animal welfare and handling.
-Perform weekend and holiday duties as required by experimental needs.
Technical skills required :
-Necropsy procedures.
-Tissue collection and processing.
-Basic handling of different animal species.
-Dose administration via oral, intravenous (IV), and subcutaneous (SC) routes.
-Blood collection from animals using various routes.
Basic attributes required:
-Strong aptitude for teamwork.
-Ability to manage strict project timelines.
-Proficiency in English, with excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
-Proficient in computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
CTC Range: Commensurate to experience and negotiable.
