The Research function at Dolat Capital forms the backbone of our institutional franchise. The team specializes in in-depth sectoral and company-level analysis , generating actionable investment ideas through robust financial modelling, primary research, and continuous market tracking.

We focus on Indian mid-cap companies and derivatives , enabling institutional clients to position portfolios effectively and generate alpha across market cycles.

In addition to institutional equities, Dolat Capital offers services in Alternative Investment Funds (AIF) and Stated Wealth Management , providing comprehensive investment solutions backed by research-driven conviction.

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate Equity Research to support senior analysts in delivering high-quality research outputs for institutional clients. The role involves financial analysis, modelling, sector tracking, company research, and client support , with exposure to management interactions and investment discussions.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and the ability to translate data into clear investment insights , while maintaining the highest ethical and compliance standards.

• Analyse company financial statements, annual reports, and regulatory filings.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models including forecasts, valuations (DCF, relative valuation), and scenario analysis.
• Track key financial and operating KPIs for companies and sectors under coverage.

• Conduct in-depth research on assigned companies and sectors.
• Analyse industry trends, macroeconomic indicators, and regulatory developments impacting coverage universe.
• Maintain sector dashboards and periodic update notes.

• Assist in preparation of initiation notes, result updates, thematic reports, and investment recommendations .
• Ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency in research reports and presentations.
• Support development of differentiated investment viewpoints backed by data and analysis.

• Assist senior analysts in responding to institutional client queries and follow-ups.
• Support preparation of pitch books, marketing decks, and client presentations .
• Participate in client calls, management interactions, and roadshows where required.

• Maintain and update research databases accurately using Bloomberg, Reuters, CMIE, CEIC , and internal tools.
• Assist in automation and enhancement of research processes (Python exposure preferred).
• Ensure timely and accurate dissemination of research updates.

• Work closely with senior analysts and team members to ensure seamless coverage.
• Mentor junior team members or interns on data handling and basic analysis.
• Support special research projects and development of new analytical frameworks.

• Ensure adherence to SEBI regulations , internal compliance policies, and ethical research standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of research information at all times.
  

• Strong proficiency in financial analysis and valuation .
• Hands-on experience with Bloomberg, Reuters, CMIE, CEIC .
• Advanced Excel skills; working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word .
• Exposure to Python for data analysis and automation is preferred.

• CA (First Attempt preferred)
• OR
• CFA / MBA (Finance) with 12 years of relevant equity research experience
